Storm Doors: They Take a Pounding
Have you ever stopped to think about how many people or pets go in and out of the doors in your home on a given day? Probably not, who thinks about such things? But if you did, chances are, it’s a lot, and your storm doors take a pounding. And nothing can be more annoying than a storm door that never seems to close right, never latches, or sags away from the frame, leaving gaps that allow drafts or bugs in. This is where we can help.
At North Star-Bailey Company, we carry two types of storm doors, both designed and made super strong to stand up to everyday wear and tear, and available in many choices of styles and colors to match your home.
Combination Aluminum Storm Doors
Our good old-fashioned aluminum storm doors are built to last. We’ll put this high quality aluminum storm door up against any other solid core door on the market. It’s that tough, and a great looking door to boot.
Features:
- Extruded aluminum corner gusset guaranteed not to sag or break
- Full-length piano hinge for long lasting smooth operation
- Available in ten door styles and 3 colors: White, Almond and Bronze
Custom measured, custom sized and custom installed
Every storm door we install is measured on site and ordered to the exact size of the opening. Sure, we could get a 36″ wide door to fit a 35″ or 37″ wide opening, or an 80″ high door to fit a 77″ or 84″ high opening. Our installers are that good! But that doesn’t make it right. Measuring and ordering your door to the exact size is just the first step in providing you with a storm door that will operate smoothly and efficiently for years.
Installation: Storm door frame members are custom cut on-site for a perfect fit, eliminating gaps and spaces that can let air in. The latch holes on the door are custom drilled on-site to align correctly with the door jamb and striker plate, so your door will latch tight every time. And the closure pump and safety chain are also custom drilled and installed to operate as designed.
We’re old school in our storm door installations. We’ve tried every other installation method contrived to try and make installations faster, easier and tighter, but we just can’t seem to get those pre-hung, pre-drilled ‘easy install’ doors to work to our satisfaction, without the need of unsightly shimming and adjusting. We’ll stick with our custom sized doors and old-fashioned installation methods to do the job right, every time. It’s what worksâ?| and keeps our customers happy!
